ICS Blog Hop: Whale Done

Hello, and welcome to the August Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop! We are so glad you are hopping along with us.

This month, our theme is "Punch It Out". The projects you will see will all include some of the awesome Stampin' Up! punches. Hopefully, we can inspire you to get your punches out and do some creating!

I used the Whale Builder Punch, the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, and our 2 1/4" Circle Punch on my card. I also used the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper from the recently released August-December Mini Catalog. I love the sparkle of the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper!! And I used the Fine Tip Glue to cover the whale to give him a glossy wet look.

Don't forget your card inside, and envelope:

Leave me a comment, and then follow the hop to see what the others have been inspired to share with you!! The talented Darla is up next, let's go see what she has for us!!

PPP Blog Hop: Lovely Day

Welcome to the monthly Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We love Paper Pumpkin and love to share our enthusiasm for this monthly box of fun and creativity with you. The Paper Pumpkin kit is designed so you can follow the instructions provided in the kit to make the projects, or use the supplies as a starting point to let your creativity run wild (as we have!) Hop along with us, as we will share alternate ideas on how we used the February Paper Pumpkin Kit: Lovely Day.

This month's kit made 9 lovely cards, 3 each of 3 designs. Here are the cards as designed:

I knew you all thought I would make a box, since you know I love making boxes from the printed card bases, so...I didn't! Instead, I decided to make a fun fold card using some of the leftover pieces that would normally be thrown away. I used the inside "burst" pieces that came from the blue colored card. I used two of them, so I could put one on the inside, and one on the outside covering the inside one, making it a surprise when the card opens.

I used Stampin' Blends to color the cake frosting and candle, but did use the provided stamp to color the cake itself. I stamped Celebrate in Rococo Rose and Rich Razzleberry, 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation colors, randomly on the background before adhering the cake piece.

Thanks so much for taking the time to hop with us!  Click on the pumpkin below and hop on over to Deb's blog to see what fun alternate project she has to share with you!

PPP Blog Hop: I'll Bee Yours

Glad you could join us on our monthly Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We love Paper Pumpkin and love to share our enthusiasm for this monthly box of fun and creativity with you. The Paper Pumpkin kit is designed so you can follow the instructions provided in the kit to make the projects, or use the supplies as a starting point to let your creativity run wild (as we have!) Hop along with us, as we will share alternate ideas on how we used the January Paper Pumpkin Kit: I'll Bee Yours.

Here is the kit as designed, with 3 x 3 cards and little treat bags. I love the non traditional Valentine colors, so this could be used as wedding, or shower favors, instead of Valentine's.

I had a new challenge when designing my alternate project this month, as my kit was missing a couple of things when received. I didn't have the stamps or the ink spot that were supposed to be in the kit. Now, I could do without the spot, as I have the Mint Macaron full size pad, but the stamps, that was a different story. Thanks goodness Stampin' Up! has the best support team in the direct sales industry and they are sending me both items. But, since I just got my kit a few days ago, I didn't get them in time to use them on my alternate project.

I decided to make a small banner. I used the layering square dies to cut the treat bags, and got 2 squares from each bag (front and back.) I backed those with a Mint Macaron cardstock scalloped square to make them sturdier. I used only kit elements to decorate each square, using a repeat pattern. I did add the 1/8" Mint Macaron Ribbon from the January-June Mini Catalog and the Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blend to color in the white stripes on the bumblebees. I, also, used the alphabet from the Make a Difference Stamp Set for my word and letters.

Here is a closer look at a couple of them:

Something for Everything Boxes

I mentioned in my 1/7/2020 blog post, after I had made a box with one of the cardbases from the Something for Everything December Paper Pumpkin kit, that I would probably do so with the other 2, at some point.  Well, here you go, boxes with the other 2 card bases:

I really like when the cardbase back is a solid color and the front is a print, so the box is two-toned.

Hope you like them!

Until next time...Happy Craftin'!

My Meadow

I have to say, when I saw this set, I was not excited about it. But....I forced myself to make a card for a swap I recently participated in, and really love how the card turned out. It is just stamps/ink and paper, so a super easy card, but look how fun!!

Look at all these great images...what could you do with them?

IDEAS Blog Hop: Stitched Be Mine Dies

Welcome to the monthly IDEAS Blog Hop. We are a group of international demonstrators who create a monthly bundle of tutorials for our customers and team members. The January bundle theme is Sharing Love, which could be Valentine's, wedding, anniversary, or just plain ol' I Love You!!

I went with a Valentine's Day card and a cute treat box. I used the Stitched Be Mine Dies, but I also added a cute little meerkat from "The Gang's All Meer" Sale A Bration Stamp Set. You know I am not going to show you my actual projects, you gotta' buy the tutorial to see them all and how I snuck that little meerkat in on my project.

Here is an alternate card using the gang of meerkats, and they are wishing you a Happy New Year!  Aren't they the cutest!! See the details below on how you can get the entire tutorial!!

The tutorials include current Stampin' Up! products, have color photos, supply lists, step by step instructions, and feature both imperial and metric measurements! There are over 20 projects included, both cards and 3D items included. Would you like a copy of the instructions of all the projects to use for your personal use, or even to use in your classes? Contact me, or your participating demonstrator, to find out how to get your tutorial bundle! They are available for a very low cost or even better, for FREE!

ICS Blog Hop: Dashing Deer

Welcome to the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop! For November, we are challenged to do a monochromatic card. We can use white or vanilla, and one other color. I cannot wait to see what everyone comes up with!

I chose one of the deer from the Dashing Deer stamp set as my focal point.  But I also used some elements from Rooted in Nature, and Merry Moose. I used Soft Suede ink and Vanilla & Suede card stock to complete the look. Some images were full strength ink, others I stamped off first. For the deer, I used the Stamparatus, so I could go over him a couple of times to make him really stand out.

Don't forget the inside, and the envelope!

I was a little worried about how this was going to turn out. But am happy to say, that it turned out just like I imagined it, which, in my card making experience, doesn't happen often!!

Thanks for joining me! Grab a cuppa' somthin', and hop on over to Joni's blog with me to see what she has to share with us!

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop: Winter Woods

Welcome to the monthly Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We love Paper Pumpkin and love to share our enthusiasm for this monthly box of fun and creativity with you. The Paper Pumpkin kit is designed so you can follow the instructions provided in the kit to make the projects, or use the supplies as a starting point to let your creativity run wild (as we have!) Hop along with us, as we will share alternate ideas on how we used the October Paper Pumpkin Kit: Winter Woods.

This month's kit was beautiful cards, evergreens, birch, cardinals and snowflakes...what a winning combo. Here are the finished cards as designed:

I could have made an alternate card, but I have been a little obsessed lately with making explosion boxes. They are fun and easy to make. So, I thought, why not, and I challenged myself to make an explosion box with this month's kit. I love how it turned out:

Here is what it looks like open:

I had to add the Poppy Parade card stock to make the actual box base and lid, but everything else was from the kit. I used the inside of the envelopes for the wood sides, and cut the birch trees down to fit the front. I punched the sentiment from the leftover paper of the birch trees. The little red cardinals and snowflake sequins finished it off perfectly!

We appreciate you hopping with us!  Click on the pumpkin below and hop on over to Elizabeth's blog to see what fun alternate project she has come up with to share with you!

Leave us comments, along the way, and let us know what you think of our projects.

IDEAS Blog Hop: Perfectly Plaid

Welcome to the monthly IDEAS Blog Hop. We are a group of international demonstrators who create a monthly bundle of tutorials for our customers and team members. The October bundle theme features Holiday or Christmas.

I chose to use the new Perfectly Plaid from the soon to be released Holiday Catalog. This bundle includes a stamp set featuring variety trees and sentiments, and a pine tree punch. It is perfect for your Christmas creating, as projects go together so easy with this bundle.

Here is my (no glue) bag, but you will have to get the tutorial to see the card!!

ICS Blog Hop: Colorful Seasons

Welcome to the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop! October is a color challenge! We are challenged to use a minimum of these 3 colors: Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green & Silver Metallic, along with any black, white or vanilla. These colors look like good Halloween colors, so that is the route I took, mixing a new Halloween set from the Holiday Catalog, with an older all season set from the Annual Catalog.

Wonderfully Wicked meets Colorful Seasons!

I embossed the leaves from Colorful Season with white embossing on black cardstock, then colored over them with Granny Apple Green and Pumpkin Pie watercolor pencils, using a blender pen to soften the colors. Cutting out some leaves from the coordinating dies, helped get the fall feel. The sentiment stack is using a couple of older punches, and one of the dies from the Ornate Frames dies, they are going to be a well used item. I hope they stick around longer than just this Holiday Catalog!

Don't forget the inside!

I cannot wait for the hop to go live so I can see what the other bloggers did with these fabulous colors! Thanks for joining me, and I hope you choose to hop along with us! Click on the next button below, to see what Audra has to share!!

Twist Card Fun Fold

Good morning!!

Here is a Twist Card we made in one of my Stampin' Time classes a couple of months ago. I love how it turned out! I used it for a dear lady in my bible study's birthday. She just turned 90, and I had no idea what to get her, so I stuck See's Candy & Bath and Body Works gift cards in the side pocket, wrote her a little note and popped it into a standard size envelope. She thought it was pretty special!

I used the Piece of Cake Stamp Set and coordinating Cake Builder Punch, and the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.

Until next time...Happy Craftin'!
