PPP Blog Hop: Expressions in Color

Welcome to the monthly Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We love Paper Pumpkin and love to share our enthusiasm for this monthly box of fun and creativity with you. The Paper Pumpkin kit is designed so you can follow the instructions provided in the kit to make the projects, or use the supplies as a starting point to let your creativity run wild (as we have!) Hop along with us, as we will share alternate ideas on how we used the June Paper Pumpkin Kit: Expressions in Color.

This month's kit coordinates with the Expressions in Ink Suite, found on pages 96-97 in the 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. It was designed to make 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. Here are the cards as designed:

If you have followed my blog, you will know that I love making little boxes from the Paper Pumpkin card fronts. So, true to form, I had to use this beautiful card front for my alternate project.

I cut apart the vellum flowers, and using the Blending Brushes, colored the backside of them. I used Wink of Stella on the front of the flower. It did take awhile for it to dry, and the picture doesn't really show it.

Here is the box inside:

Everything came from the kit, except some ink colors and the Blending Brushes. I had to improvise on a punch for the finger hole on the front of the box, since we no longer carry circle punches. I used the hump in the heart punch, and it worked beautifully! Where there is a will, there is a way!!

Since I had some pieces left over of the flowers, and the other vellum piece, I used the remnants to make a card. It also uses everything from the kit.

I am glad you could join us, and hope you have been inspired to get your kit out and create. Click on the pumpkin below and hop on over to Cheryl's blog to see how she has used this kit to express herself!

It would be awesome if you leave a comment on our projects along the way!!

Until next time...Happy Craftin'!

Iconic Dies - Day 4

This card using the Iconic Dies, page 163 of the 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, and several of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP) patterns.

These dies are so versatile. They can be paired with most any DSP and any sentiment.

I love how the little bird looks cut directly from DSP.

Wonder what other dies would look great cut from DSP?

You will have to wait until next week for the 5th and final card in this series, as I have been showcasing them on my Facebook page, as a live video weekly, and the last one doesn't air until next Tuesday.

Until next time...

Happy Craftin'!

Iconic Dies - Day 3

Me again, with another card featuring the Iconic Dies. See them on page 163, of the 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. This is a super simple card, and doesn't take much supplies, but I love the cut out fern and how the Designer Series Paper shows through.

Hope you are enjoying the different cards using these dies. Let me know when I have convinced you to purchase them, lol!

Wonder what other images could be used like this?

Until next time...
Happy Craftin'!

Iconic Dies - Day 2

Here again to showcase the Iconic Dies, page 163 of the 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. These are only used like 3 times in the catalog, and do not coordinate with any stamp set, so just seem to get lost. I saw them and saw all the potential, so am trying to raise awareness.

Here is my 2nd card:

Love these little mushrooms!!

So many other fun images!

Enjoy, and until next time...
Happy Craftin'!

ICS Blog Hop: Hand-Penned Petals

Meet the 2021-2023 In Colors!!

Did you know that each year Stampin' Up! adds 5 new colors to their color palette? They also retire 5 colors, but we won't talk about those right now.

The Inspire Create Share team has created some fun projects to showcase the new 2021-2023 In Colors: Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Polished Pink & Soft Succulent:

I have been wanting to try one of these Starburst or Sunburst cards, so thought this was a good time to try it out. It is a perfect way to showcase all the In Colors.  Tho' I have to admit, I was going to put a butterfly die cut in the lower left circle, until I remembered I had said I was using Hand-Penned Petals stamp set. I quickly switched gears and came up with a new plan.

Here is my cards showcasing the new colors:

I hope you like my card. Leave me a comment, and then follow the hop to see what the others have designed. The super talented Deb is up next, come with me to see what colorful creation she has for us!!

PPP Blog Hop: Batter Up

Welcome to the monthly Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We love Paper Pumpkin and love to share our enthusiasm for this monthly box of fun and creativity with you. The Paper Pumpkin kit is designed so you can follow the instructions provided in the kit to make the projects, or use the supplies as a starting point to let your creativity run wild (as we have!) Hop along with us, as we will share alternate ideas on how we used the May Paper Pumpkin Kit: Batter Up

This month's kit made 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. They even threw in some Dubble Bubble bubble gum to keep with the theme! Here are the cards as designed:

I really liked this kit, and it works for my family. I have a grandson who is a freshman in high school. He is so good at baseball, he has already verbally committed to Oregon State. The first card is going to be for his mom for her upcoming birthday. The second card is going to that grandson for his birthday later this month.

For my alternate project, other than the Thick Basic White card base, I used items from the kit and just rearranged them in a design that I liked. I will be using this for a birthday card  my grand nephew who also loves the game!

Of the original designs, I liked the card with the wood grain the least, that is why I chose to remake it into something that spoke to me. I did trim around the All Star words, just felt the border was too wide. Hope you like it.

P.S. Chewing the gum while creating was inspirational!

I hope you have been inspired to get your kit out and create. Click on the pumpkin below and hop on over to Elizabeth's blog to see what homerun she created! So glad you could join us!

It would be awesome if you leave a comment on our projects along the way!!

Until next time...Happy Craftin'!
