ICS Blog Hop: Fall Fun

Welcome to the September ICS Blog Hop. Thanks for joining us as we celebrate Fall with our Fall Fun theme this month.

I have been using the Online Exclusives, Changing Leaves bundle, for a lot of my projects and Facebook lives recently. I love this set with stamps and coordinating dies. It also pairs well with the Wild Wheat Rustic Striped Ribbon and the Woven Golden Leaves. Changing Leaves was the perfect choice to use for Fall Fun!

Here is my card:

I have been using the Season of Green & Gold Designer Series Paper with this bundle but this time I wanted to change the leaves up to reflect the leaf color changes that happens during the fall season.

I used watercolor paper and spritzed it with water. Then I dropped reinker dots all over it in fall colors, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive. I spritzed the drops some more until the bled together to form this:

The Blackberry didn't spread as well as the other colors, so I was just selective on my placement when I stamped the leaves onto the paper.

I didn't end up using them all, but now I have some extras for another project or two!

I hope you will join me as I hop along to see what the other demonstrators have done to showcase Fall Fun!! Please, leave a comment when you see something you like. Click on the list below to hop along....

Until next time...

This or That Stampin'

Hi friends!

Did you know that in addition to Tuesday Creative Crafternoon's, I also do a Thursday Facebook live? It is called This or That Stampin'. Each Wednesday afternoon, I post a couple of stamp sets for my followers to view and vote on. I check the totals on Thursday morning, and then come up with a project using the winning set.

Here was last week's choices:

The turtles won by a large margin! So, I got to creating, and here is what I made:

The paper behind the turtle is inked, and then spritzed with water to give it a water look. I think it came out beautifully! What do you think!

Join me next week for the Owls to face off against another great set!

Wednesday afternoon to get your vote in and then Thursday at 6:00pm CT to see what I make.
