PPP Blog Hop: Batter Up

Welcome to the monthly Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We love Paper Pumpkin and love to share our enthusiasm for this monthly box of fun and creativity with you. The Paper Pumpkin kit is designed so you can follow the instructions provided in the kit to make the projects, or use the supplies as a starting point to let your creativity run wild (as we have!) Hop along with us, as we will share alternate ideas on how we used the May Paper Pumpkin Kit: Batter Up

This month's kit made 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. They even threw in some Dubble Bubble bubble gum to keep with the theme! Here are the cards as designed:

I really liked this kit, and it works for my family. I have a grandson who is a freshman in high school. He is so good at baseball, he has already verbally committed to Oregon State. The first card is going to be for his mom for her upcoming birthday. The second card is going to that grandson for his birthday later this month.

For my alternate project, other than the Thick Basic White card base, I used items from the kit and just rearranged them in a design that I liked. I will be using this for a birthday card  my grand nephew who also loves the game!

Of the original designs, I liked the card with the wood grain the least, that is why I chose to remake it into something that spoke to me. I did trim around the All Star words, just felt the border was too wide. Hope you like it.

P.S. Chewing the gum while creating was inspirational!

I hope you have been inspired to get your kit out and create. Click on the pumpkin below and hop on over to Elizabeth's blog to see what homerun she created! So glad you could join us!

It would be awesome if you leave a comment on our projects along the way!!

Until next time...Happy Craftin'!

ICS Blog Hop: Whale Done

Hello, and welcome to the May Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop! We are glad you are hopping with us.

This month, our theme is "It's a Guy Thing." I don’t have many masculine sets, but I consider the Whale Done Stamp Set a masculine set. Especially the stamp that says, “You’re Kind of a Big Deal.” It just seems like a saying that any guy would like to hear!

Here is my card:

I used the punch for the whale, cuz I really wanted it to be an Orca. They seem like a bigger deal than just regular whales to me...lol! I stamped the seaweed across the bottom, and used the birthday sentiment from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set.

I cut out a window in the Basic White cardstock, using the Hippo & Friends Dies, and put a piece of the Sea & Sand Designer Series Paper behind the window to resemble the ocean. That is such beautiful paper, better get it while you can, as it will retire at the end of June.

Inside, I used the Big Deal saying. It fit perfectly! Do you have any "Big Deals" in your life? Father's Day is coming, and all you have to do is change the front sentiment to make the guy in your life feel like he is something special!

Hope you like my card. Please leave a comment if you do! Now, join me as we hop on over to Deb's blog to see what manly creation she has to share with us!

Until next time....

Inspiration!

Where do you get your inspiration? I get it from various places, and even sometimes people's clothing. Shhhhh, don't tell my Sunday School teacher that I am writing down color combos in the corner of my workbook, not lesson notes.
This card was made after I saw and liked the colors in a friend's shirt. I asked her if I could take a picture, and she agreed.
Hand-Penned Petals Bundle (stamp and dies) and the new Basic Borders Dies. Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Blushing Bride and the New 2021-2023 In Color, Soft Succulent. True Love Designer Series Paper.

Here is my card:

Here is my inspiration:

Soooo, again, where do you get yours? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time...

PPP Blog Hop: So Cool

Hi there!! Thanks for coming along on the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We love Paper Pumpkin and how easy it is to make the kits the way they were designed. But we also, love to show you different ways to use them!

This month's kit is so fun with popsicles, watermelons and rainbows! The shaped cards are unique, and the colors so bright, you can just taste summer!

I had a kit sent to my 6 year old grand daughter. We frequently color together on Facetime. This will be a new experience, but now we can stamp together. She is going to love it!

Here are the cards the way they were designed:

Since this Paper Pumpkin coordinates with the Ice Cream Corner Suite from the January - June 2021 Mini Catalog, I chose to make a shaker card using the sprinkles from the suite. Here is my alternative;

Thanks again for joining us. Come along with me to see what alternate project the Oh So Cool, Janey has created for us. If you like what you see along the way, please leave us a comment. A little love is always good for the soul!

May's Paper Pumpkin info...

Step up to the plate, take a swing, and knock it out of the park! With the May 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit: Batter Up!, it’s your turn to go to bat for all the people who’ve gone to bat for you. This month’s timeless kit with a “throwback” theme contains enough grand slam supplies to create nine cards—and coordinating envelopes—featuring classic colors, pinwheel and pinstripe patterns, and vintage-washed paper pieces. There’s no “batter” way to root, root, root for your home team and honor the all-stars in your life!

A beloved baseball-themed kit would be incomplete without the sport’s signature, sticky snack—the official bubble gum of the MLB! A favorite in the field, the Batter Up! Paper Pumpkin Kit contains a couple sticks of the chewy staple; chew while you craft, slide a piece into a card, or save it for later.

Send a seventh-inning stretch in a classic card with all-star stripes, a nostalgic nod, and a stamp set fit for an MVP! But, before you give it all you’ve got, give this month’s promotional video a watch. See what the Batter Up! kit is all about, then share the message with your friends, family, and customers! Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Here's to You

Welcome to the monthly Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We love Paper Pumpkin and love to share our enthusiasm for this monthly box of fun and creativity with you. The Paper Pumpkin kit is designed so you can follow the instructions provided in the kit to make the projects, or use the supplies as a starting point to let your creativity run wild (as we have!) Hop along with us, as we will share alternate ideas on how we used the March Paper Pumpkin Kit: Here's To You

This month's kit made 8 cards, 4 each of 2 designs. They even came envelopes and with coordinating envelope liners! Here are the cards as designed:

Have I mentioned the envelope liners?! I love the print on one of them sooo much that I used it as a focal point on one of my cards and an accent on the other.

Here is the first one, showcasing the envelope liner. I used everything from the kit, except the Seaside layer behind the liner. Can you see why I love the liner? I think it is so pretty!

And my second card. I had pieces of the liner left over, and didn't want to waste it, so I kept creating. Here I, again, used everything from the kit, except the Old Olive layers behind the liner and preprinted landscape piece. I had to cut the landscape piece down to allow more of the pretty liner paper to show.

I hope you have been inspired to get your kit out and create. Click on the pumpkin below and hop on over to Darla's blog to see what fun project she has created to share with us! So glad you could join us!

It would be awesome if you leave a comment on our projects along the way!!

Until next time...Happy Craftin'!
